This corrected shortlist uses official company pages to separate locally manufactured kiosk structures, Chilean integrators and distributors, multinational industrial-display subsidiaries and one overseas OEM. It does not present all nine as Chilean touch-panel factories. The order is editorial, not based on market share.

How the roles differ

PLED publishes specific Chile-designed and manufactured kiosk models. FourTouch, Vigatec and ECGroup are local system providers; SEACOM and Smarthold distribute partner brands. • Specify indoor/outdoor use, heat, dust, sunlight, water, cleaning, glove use, mounting, power and I/O.
• Request model-numbered datasheets, drawings, component revisions, production origin and warranty route.

Frequently asked questions

Are all nine entries manufacturers in Chile?

No. Only specific locally built structures or systems are described as Chilean manufacture. Distributor and integrator roles are stated explicitly, and the overseas OEM is not presented as local.

Why include both kiosks and industrial HMIs?

“Touch screen” searches combine different product levels. A buyer needing a public kiosk should not compare it directly with a bare panel or industrial HMI, so every profile identifies the actual scope.

Procurement conclusion

Choose the product level first, then shortlist three suppliers with comparable responsibility. The award should follow sample or pilot testing and written confirmation of origin, compliance, lifecycle, installation and warranty.
